Event Overview: The 9/11 NYC event Run to Remember is a fairly new annual event in NYC that takes place on Governors Island in New York City. This 9/11 NYC event is a recent tradition that was started in order to help raise money for organizations working towards causes related to 9/11. Each runner represents a victim during the 9/11 attacks so that all are remembered.
What to Expect: The 9/11 NYC event Run to Remember is a tribute event to all of those lost during the 9/11 attacks. It not only raises money for a good cause while rewarding supporters, but it also honors those that are lost as each runner represents one of the victims lost.
- Events for Everyone: There are plenty of things to do at this 9/11 NYC event for all ages. The 5k run is the main event, but there is also a more casual walk/run that is only 3k distance, along witha kid's fun run.
- Good Cause: All money raised during this NYC 9/11 Memorial event will support foundations that work to restore damages caused by the 9/11 incident.
- Governors Island: Governors Island is located south off the Manhattan island, and is a lush and beautiful place for the runs to take place. For participants who show up, its a warm and comfortable setting during a sunny day and is perfect for the casual 3k run/walk at this 9/11 NYC event.
Inside Knowledge: The first Run to Remember NYC event took place in 2009, and is now an annual tradition to honor those that died in the September 11 terrorist attacks. This serves as an NYC 9/11 memorial just as much as it serves as a fundraiser.

- Register Online: Runners who wish to participate in Run to Remember NYC should register online. When you do this, you will be able to select a victim from 9/11 that you wish to respresent during your run.
- Make a Pledge: The goal for Run to Remember is to raise money for the organizations that look to support rebuilding after the terrorist attacks. If you want to participate in the run, be sure to toss some money into it as well.
- Make a Donation: If you can't go to this 9/11 NYC event, then at least consider chipping in a few bucks to the cause. They accept regular donations as well, and every little bit helps.

Take Part in the 9/11 World Trade Center Run to Remember
Whether or not you had a loved one that passed away on 9/11 or you just want to pay your respects to the other people in the World Trade Center, you should take part in the World Trade Center Run to Remember. Though you would think this event would have a terribly sad and depressing mood, people at this run are trying to recognize the positive impact all these victims had on people's lives. Bring your friends or kids and enjoy a day that pays respect to the many victims of 9/11.
