Best Falafel in New York City!
Two friends of mine recommended Mamoun's Falafel to me before I arrived in NYC, and I just so happened to be staying at St. Mark's Hotel, right next door to the East Village restaurant - fate! I ordered a falafel sandwich and a drink for under $4- a phenomenal deal. Not only was it ridiculously cheap, but it was delicious and filling. The menu is full of awesome-sounding Mediterranean plates and sides - including hummus, babaganoush, falafel and more.
It's not a fancy place - it's more of a hole-in-the-wall with amazingly reasonable and tasty food! Whenever I mentioned it to people who live in the City, they excitedly reacted, agreeing it's the best falafel in NYC. This was my first meal in the Big Apple, and I was sure to return for another round before my trip ended.
