Upon
reaching Midtown, the tall skyscrapers of areas like
Rockefeller Center reminds one of passing through a
desert canyon. Luckily, Sixth Avenue, officially known as
Avenue of the Americas is reasonably flat.
Hitting 50th Street, we
see a recognizable sight, Radio City Music Hall. It's
probably too early to see a show, so let's keep on going.
As we neared
Central Park, this pack came together around 57th Street.
They split up as part went west through the Park Drive
and the rest headed east.
Entering the park at 59th
Street, we get a view of the horse-drawn carriages
getting ready for the day's tourists.
