Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (aka BARC Shelter) is a not-for-profit, no-kill, privately funded animal shelter located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
BARC has been caring for, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for stray animals for 20 years. It also supports and provides information about responsible pet ownership and care such as the importance of spaying and neutering.
The Shelter is supported primarily by volunteers and individual supporters. It also runs a pet supply store offering a wide variety of pet food, including special and prescription diets and other supplies, with 100% of store profits supporting the Shelter.
BARC animal adoption hours are Tuesday-Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m.
Store hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m.
Both the Shelter and the Store are closed Mondays.
