Here we see "Caroline in the City" star Lea Thompson perched atop a Neptune of the Sea float.

The Sesame Street float The accompanying float is one of the most creative in the parade. It features a positive message of reading and writing from such regulars as Oscar the Grouch, Bert and Ernie, and Elmo.
 The marching bands approach Columbus Circle at 59th Street. From here the parade route moves from Central Park West to Broadway. Marching band #2
