The NY Skyride, located in the Empire State Building, is a 22 minute virtual tour simulator narrated by actor Kevin Bacon where guests -fly over- 30 of NYC's most famous landmarks, sights and attractions without ever leaving the 2nd floor of the Empire State Building!! The Skyride is a specially designed simulator with motion seats that creates a virtual sky ride tour over NYC. Encased by a big screen, your seat simulates the movement while the screen simulates (in HD) your flight providing a thrilling way to see New York City tourist attractions. Located on the 2nd floor of the famous Empire State Building is fantastic for the whole family and you will gain a new perspective on the city that never sleeps. The Skyride also has two 7-minute pre-shows, the first showing the top ten attractions you must see in New York City and the second titled I am New York that gives a historical overview of the Empire State Building. Total time is approximately 30 minutes.

NY Skyride customers can also purchase a COMBO ticket for entrance to the Empire State Building Observatory. In doing so, you will automatically qualify for the Fast Track Program which allows you to bypass a majority of the ESB Observatory waiting line. Depending upon time of year and time of day, regular waiting lines for the Observatory can range from 15 minutes to 3 hours.
