Despite being open for a little over a year, the Hotel on Rivington has already put its stamp on the Lower East Side.
The hotel itself is a little bit of an enigma as the public areas are space age and futuristic while the guestrooms all feature a timeless feel. Each of the rooms feature a somewhat Zen like touch with the Japanese soaking tubs and floor to ceiling glass walls which gives guests a perfect view in all four directions. The rooms also include flat screen TV's, fridges willed with gourmet snacks, Frette linens, and CD players. To make things even better, two-thirds of the rooms feature private terraces and are ideal for those that want to take advantage of the hotel's unobstructed views. In addition to the soaking tubs, the bathrooms feature Italian mosaic Bisazza tile and heated floors so you can rest assured that your little piggies will be nice and warm once you get out of the tub.
One of the nicest aspects of the hotel is that there are pet friendly floors which means you don't have to worry about leaving Fido at home. Another unique aspect of the hotel is that the rooftop penthouse offers breakfast and evening wine service. Guests are also offered priority reservations at Schiller's Liquor Bar, Balthazar and Pastis.
For those that are looking to be on the cutting edge by staying in one of New York's trendiest hotels the Hotel on Rivington is the perfect choice.
