While it may be described as an Old-World club, in reality The Pierre is one of the top luxury hotels in New York.
Dating back to its opening in 1930, the hotel has been described as beautiful and distinctive. The hotel also earned a reputation as attracting those that only wanted the best when it came to hotel luxury. Following a $70 million renovation, the hotel has been restored to its natural beauty.
With its European antiques and glistening mahogany wood finishes, the mood at The Pierre remains elegant and yet subdues. For those that need a little help with their luggage, the hotel offers an packing;/unpacking service as well as a one hour pressing service for the clothes that may have gotten a bit wrinkled.
Guestrooms are a sign of contradictions as they feature a variety of artifacts as well as the most modern amenities. Each room comes refrigated private bars, video or laserdisc players, hair dryers, in-room safes, bathrobes and down pillows. Of course no hotel in New York would be complete without a view and the views of Central Park have got to be seen in order to be believed.

Feel free to sit back and sip a cup while you take in the artwork of Edward Melcarth. The Pierre Lounge offers up nightly piano music while the Cafe Pierre is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat as the restaurant specializes in classic cuisine.
