NY Skyride
The NY Skyride, located in the Empire State Building, is a 22 minute virtual tour simulator narrated by actor Kevin Bacon where guests “fly over” 30 of NYC’s most famous landmarks, sights and attractions without ever leaving the 2nd floor of the Empire State Building!! The Skyride is a specially designed simulator with motion seats that creates a virtual sky ride tour over NYC. Encased by a big screen, your seat simulates the movement while the screen simulates (in HD) your flight providing a thrilling way to see New York City tourist attractions. Located on the 2nd floor of the famous Empire State Building is fantastic for the whole family and you will gain a new perspective on the city that never sleeps. The Skyride also has two 7-minute pre-shows, the first showing the top ten attractions you must see in New York City and the second titled “I am New York” that gives a historical overview of the Empire State Building. Total time is approximately 30 minutes.
NY Skyride customers can also purchase a COMBO ticket for entrance to the Empire State Building Observatory. In doing so, you will automatically qualify for the Fast Track Program which allows you to bypass a majority of the ESB Observatory waiting line. Depending upon time of year and time of day, regular waiting lines for the Observatory can range from 15 minutes to 3 hours.
