Cityhouse - Easy breakfast if you're in the area

Venue Reviewed: Cityhouse New York

OK - this review is for breakfast only, just so we're clear. (Though after seeing their steak menu I'm deeply regretting the fact that I only indulged in their most basic baked goods.)

The Cityhouse is a safe, surprisingly-solid choice for breakfast, especially if you’re staying at the Park Central Hotel where it resides. It’s not as expensive as one would suspect – generally hotel eateries are above-average in price, but the City House kept the goods at a pretty reasonable level.

The best thing about the Cityhouse is that they serve Starbucks Coffee. Granted, you can find a Starbuck’s on every other corner (or, if you’re me, you’re holding out hope of stumbling upon a Dunkin Donuts every third corner), but it’s still nice to know you’re in good hands when it comes to your morning kickstarter. As for the food, your best bets are grabbing a muffin or bagel for the road.

I’m not sure I’d like to actually sit down and spend a lot of time at Cityhouse (not alone, anyways, which at this particular moment I was), but it definitely works as a quick café-option before hitting the city sights around Manhattan.
