| As one of the most
interesting ethnic restaurants in New York, Pomaire is worth the walk to the far end of
Restaurant Row. Much of the elegantly simple fare is served in authentic clay pots from the small Chilean village the restaurant is named after. |

If you're not taking advantage of
the $15.95 prix-fixe dinner, appetizers like cheese
empinadas are a delicious start. The pastel de choclo, with beef, olives,
chicken, onions and egg, covered in corn puree, dusted with sugar and baked in a clay pot
is superb. Choose a quality Chilean wine or beer to accompany your meal and finish with "Onces" or coffee and delicious dessert. |
