Located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 55th Street, the Wellington Hotel is right in the heart of the city. The hotel is just a block from the bright lights of Broadway, Carnegie Hall and City Center. Central Park is just four blocks away while Rockefeller Center is seven blocks.
was happy at this hotel:
It may not be the most beautiful hotel to look at, but both my wife and I agree that the Wellington is one of the best values in New York. From our room we could see the lights of Times Square and were within walking distance of Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square and Broadway.
About the only bad thing I can say is that the room is a little bit small and we had to keep the window crqacked because the radiator didn't work properly. Of course none of that mattered since we didn't come to New York to cyheck out the room. Overall I would give this place a huge A+++

was happy at this hotel:
The misses and I decided to go big and get the king room. Gotta say we were quite pleased with it. She enjoyed the huge closet, while I took comfort in knowing that closet size was not going to be an issue on this trip.
The location was great too. Also I'd reccomend the Brooklyn Diner for breakfast. It isn't far and they got some great omlettes.
