The international airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, is located in New Jersey and is about 15 miles south west of New York City. It is the fifth busiest international air gateway into the U.S. handling about 30 million passengers a year. It services New Jersey and the City of New York along with LaGuardia and JFK.
