Probably the most elaborate and popular windows belong to Lord & Taylor. These windows literally stop traffic!

Thousands line up to Fifth Avenue between 38^th and 39^th Streets.

The designers of Lord & Taylor's windows create extravagant scenes filled with animated figures, vehicles and other wonders of imagination.

This year's windows feature scenes from the beloved classic The Nutcracker.

The line for these windows often moves quickly but to really examine these works of art, you might want to stop by after Lord & Taylor closes at around 9pm.

Across from Rockefeller Center is Saks Fifth Avenue between 49^th and 50^th Streets.

The popular shopping stop of the fashion conscious brings beauty to the masses with its attractive holiday window displays.

Gaining the most attention because of its proximity to a certain large tree, this year's Saks Fifth Avenue windows are based on the story of Sleeping Beauty complete with mechanical dolls moving to the famous Tchaikovsky ballet!

	While Macy's goes all out with its facade decor, Saks Fifth Avenue takes a more reserved approach with traditional bunting and red awnings. See if you can spot their popular "calendar" shopping bag around town!
