The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in NYC will be held on December 2nd. Festivities begin around 6:45pm, and the tree lighting takes place at 8:55pm sharp! Date and time are subject to change.

Millions of New Yorkers and tourists come to see the tree while many get to ice skate on the Rockefeller Center Ice Skating rink to the right.

To submit your tree for consideration for a donation as the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, please send a picture of your tree with a person standing next to it to the Rockefeller Center address below:

 Please note that the tree must be a minimum of 65 feet tall and 35 feet wide and dense enough to prevent the sky from showing through the branches.  A representative from Rockefeller Center will be in touch if your tree is under consideration.
