Christmas at Rockefeller Center
The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is typically scheduled for “some time during the third week of November”.   Unfortunately for holiday travelers, this date is not released early in the year… as soon as we know the 2008 date we will post on this page (last year is was November 23rd between 7pm – 9pm)!

Call 212-632-3975 for up to date information.

Millions of New Yorkers and tourists come to see the tree while many get to ice skate on the rink below.

Angels in the plaza

The plaza heading towards the tree is occupied by the traditional horn-blowing angels.

The Christmas tradition began in 1933!
