- Accolades: Aquavit New York has been given 3 stars by The New York Times since 1995, and was selected 9th best restaurant in New York 2006 by New York Magazine. Head chef Marcus Samuelsson voted Best Chef New York in 2003 by The James Beard Foundation, and Aquavit inducted in Restaurant Hall of Fame USA in 2000. Additionally, Aquavit NYC has received the prestigious Ivy Award, in addition to being named Best Sunday Brunch in New York Magazine.

The bar and lounge is more traditionally bar-like, with a wide array of cocktails and an award-winning wine list.
Inside Knowledge: The dinner menu at Aquavit NYC is prix fixe, with a certain number of courses for a set price, but often lunch and even some dinners menu items are offered a la carte. Call ahead or look online to see what the dining options are for a given evening or weekend.

- Nordic Choucroute: One of Aquavit New York's specialties is seafood, and the decadent Maine lobster with diver scallops that have been described as heavenly. The dish is paired with tender Berkshire pork, and the dish is topped off with an amazing sauerkraut beurre blanc.
- Glassblower Herring: It wouldn't be a Scandinavian meal with herring, and Aquavit NYC serves some of the best herring in the world of fine dining. Served with bleak roe, delicious red pearl onions, and a danish rye crisp, then topped with sour cream, the Glassblower Herring is one of Aquavit's most savory dishes.
