Heartland Brewery -Great For a Beer and a Bite
Looking for a place to grab a drink and a bite to eat, I wandered into Heartland Brewery while walking around Times Square. It was warm and inviting, the staff was pretty friendly, and didn’t push us out even though we were some of the last guests in the place.
It was the beginning of November, so they had some great seasonal beers on tap, including the Pumpkin Imperial, which I had and it was delicious. I didn’t have a meal, but I got the cheese fries appetizer. I was expecting real grated cheese, but they were more like nachos. Not my favorite, but not terrible. They have beer testers which are ½ a pint, which is great because they have so many beers on tap, so you can try twice as many! The other food I saw looked decent, but I’d go more for the bar than the dinner menu.
