Restaurant Hotel

Pierre Hotel NYC was recently re-opened in 2009 under Taj hotels. This 5-star luxury resort is a remodeled part of Upper East Side Manhattan history, and has been around since the 1920s when original owner Charles Pierre Casalasco first managed the hotel. Expect nothing but the best while staying here, from friendly and helpful service to exquisite and intimate guestrooms and decor.

Features: Le Caprice Restaurant New York is the US import of the popular London-based restaurant. Chef Michael Hartnell manages the kitchen of this modern European restaurant, which was opened inside the Pierre Hotel NYC in 2009. Le Caprice NYC serves up great food in an environment that features chic black and white decor.

Why We Dine: Le Caprice Restaurant New York offers a menu of classic and modern European dishes, with an emphasis on UK-inspired cuisine. The ingredients are locally sourced and seasonal.

  • Atmosphere: The black and white color-scheme looks modern and upscale in the Restaurant Le Caprice. The piano adds a nice touch and fits into the decor as well.
  • Service: Expect an attentive and friendly staff to be there for any needs you may have during your dining experience at Le Caprice NYC.

Inside Knowledge: Le Caprice Restaurant New York offers a set menu during specific times daily. The set menu is a 3-course meal that is only $29, a price tag that is unheard of in the fine dining restaurants of the Upper East Side Manhattan.

We Recommend:

  • Sauteed Foie Gras: Foie gras is already known as being melt-in-your-mouth decadent. Le Caprice Restaurant does this delectable offering justice as an appetizer, and it is served with carmelised apples.

  • Seasonal Entrees: Try to stay with the seasonal entrees unless you have a craving for one of the standard meat dishes on the menu. This is where you will find the real gems and the more adventurous delicacies of Le Caprice NYC.
