NYCTourist Travel Info

Features: Behind an unmarked green door in a dark Lower East Side Manhattan alley, moustached bartenders in suspenders muddle cocktails by candlelight, as ladies and gents in high feather converse with one another while jazz music fills the room. Step inside Milk and Honey NYC and be transported back to the sexy sophistication of 1940s speakeasies.

Why We Go: Milk and Honey is one of Manhattan's most exclusive bars, offering its clientele an intimate and unforgettable experience.

  • First-Class Cocktails: You won't find a drink list at Milk and Honey NYC. Instead, the bar staff will ask you to describe your favorite flavors and spirits, then they'll go to work concocting one of the best mixed drinks you'll ever taste. The fine staff at Milk & Honey fresh squeeze and muddle all of their juices by hand, and each cocktail is made with wedges of ice cut with an ice pick from a block of twice-frozen mineral water!
  • Classy Clientele: Milk & Honey Bar NY keeps its cool by requiring hopeful patrons to make reservations by email or text in order to gain entry into the land of Milk and Honey. The trendy LES bar's strict reservation policy helps keep rowdy party animals out and sexy sophisticates in.
  • Dapper Decor: Dark wood, dozens of glowing candles, vintage leather booths, and tasteful jazz coming from the speakers provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying the divine libations at Milk and Honey NYC.

Inside Knowledge: The exclusive clientele at Milk and Honey NY are expected to follow the bar's posted "House Rules." According to Milk & Honey's code of conduct, name-dropping and bringing guests to Milk and Honey NYC whom you would not leave alone in your home are strictly prohibited.

Do's and Don'ts:

  • Do Bring Cash - and Lots of It: Cash is the only currency accepted at Milk and Honey NY. A custom cocktail at Milk & Honey will run you $16 a piece, so be sure to stop by the ATM first. And don't forget to tip your bartender!
  • Do Your Homework: Visit Milk and Honey's website before your big night out and read their "House Rules." Make sure to follow them or risk being banished from one of New York City's most exclusive establishments.
  • Don't Show up Unannounced: Milk and Honey NY requires guests to make reservations in advance via email or text message. If Milk & Honey NYC deems you worthy, they'll reply with information you'll need to gain entry into their swank club.
  • Don't Be Late: Tardiness is not fashionable at Milk and Honey NYC. The Lower East Side hot-spot has a reputation for turning away guests with reservations if they show up after their scheduled arrival time.
