July 14- City of Water Day is the city’s 5th annual event on Governors Island and at Liberty state Park simply celebrating the harbor and waterways. On-the-water activities, boat tours, children’s activities fair, live music, and more.
July 19-20- Jay- Z and Justin Timberlake are in concert at Yankee Stadium. (worth every penny)
July 20- Bastille Day in NYC is celebrated with a street fair on 60th between 5th and Lexington. This annual fair goes from 12-5 and is hosted by the French Institute Alliance Française.
July 22- August 16- Restaurant Week in NYC is held in some of the city’s finest restaurants who offer special prix-fixe lunches and dinners. Participating restaurants are not released yet but make reservations as soon as they are on July 8.
July 23- August 18- Shakespeare in the Park presents Love’s Labour Lost: A New Musical, a romantic musical rendition of Shakespeare’s original performed in Delacorte Theater in Central Park at 8:30 p.m.
July 31- August - Beyonce - America’s favorite diva is ending the month with what’s sure to be an unforgettable performance.

Summer Movies in the Parks
Bryant Park hosts free movies every Monday evening for HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival. Get on the Lawn at 5 pm. Starting July 10, Movies Under the Stars is going on at Pier I, Riverside Park South, every Wednesday starting at 8:30 with Summer on the Hudson. RiverFlicks is a movie festival at Pier 63 showing year old movies. Every Wednesday there are films for adults and every Friday are films for kids. Philharmonic in the Park features classical music held in a different venue each night in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island parks starting at 8:30 p.m from July 10-16th. Met in the Parks presents live opera performances in parks in all five boroughs starting July 10th as well. The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum hosts movies all summer long starting July 26. Star Trek shows at 7:30 p.m. in the museum.
