Additional Information

Like the streets of Manhattan and the Bronx, the streets of Queens are laid out in a semi-grid, with a numerical system of street names. North-south roadways are typically referred to as "Streets" while east-west roadways are referred to as "Avenues." Occasionally, geographical conditions upset the predictable numerical system (as when 70th Street is followed by Hazen Street and not 71st). Tourists will want to note that the first half of a number in a Queens address refers to the nearest cross street.

Fun Fact

Notable residents of Queens have included Art Garfunkel, Adrien Brody, and 50 Cent.
