Why We Go: The Rose Center NY features a ton of interactive and educational exhibits for all ages to enjoy, as well as a state-of-the-art planetarium with exciting shows.
- Hayden Planetarium: The New York planetarium inside the Rose Center New York has been around for a while, but it gets more impressive as it gets renovated. It currently has two halves - the top half shows off the cosmos, and the bottom half shows off an incredible big bang exhibit.

Inside Knowledge: Popular actors typically do voice-overs for the incredible shows and displays in the Hayden Planetarium of the Rose Center NY. Currently, Whoopie Goldberg does the narration for their latest show 'Journey to the Stars'.
Do's and Don'ts:
- Do Pay What You Can Afford: The museum lives and expands on the admission that you pay, so even though it's not required, if you have the money, we recommend paying full price.
- Do Enjoy a Show: The space shows that take place in the Rose Center NY are phenomenal. They take place every half hour from 10:30am until 4:30pm except on Wednesdays. The shows go until 5pm on the weekends as well. You will not want to miss these.
- Don't Ignore the Rest of the Museum: There are plenty of great exhibits to see outside of the space show and the lower section's big bang demonstration. Be sure to look around and take in all of the fun and education exhibits that are in the area.
- Don't Miss the Natural History Museum: The Rose Center NY is part of the American Museum of Natural History, which is another great museum stop that you will not want to miss while in Manhattan.

Massive Exhibits at the Rose Center NY
Head to the Upper West Side to step inside the Rose Center, the breathtaking Earth and space museum. Though this museum is ideal for people that are really interested in the solar system, people who have only a modest curiosity for space will still likely appreciate this impressive facility. You should enjoy a few hours at the Rose Center learning about the Earth and other places in space then take a stroll around Central Park.
