NYCTourist Travel Info

Features: The White Rabbit lounge is one of the coolest places in on the Lower East Side of New York City. With a relaxed atmosphere and an aroma the New York Times described as "aromatic" and "like a spa," this NY lounge attracts everyone from college students to young professionals. Serving Asian-fusion cocktails with style, the White Rabbit NYC is the place to be.

Why We Go: The White Rabbit NYC is one of the most reliably fun bars on the Lower East Side, with a spacious lounge, reasonably priced cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking for a fun and casual evening, the White Rabbit Lounge is for you.

  • Atmosphere: The well-lit interior gives the White Rabbit NYC a feeling of calm and comfort rare for a night out, and guests are greeted with the pleasant aroma of a space that has been well taken care of. Enjoy a cocktail at the bar or put on your dancing shoes for the occasional guest DJ.
  • Diverse Crowd: This Lower East Side hot spot attracts a lot of college students from New York University, but also brings in the well dressed young professional with a diverse and interesting array of Asian-inspired cocktails. Try a ginger spice martini, or a sake-tini garnished with cucumber.
  • Spacious Lounge: Unlike many crowded NYC clubs and bars, the White Rabbit Lounge has both a spacious lounge area and dance floor. While the White Rabbit NYC does occasionally get crowded, the sheer number of stools and sofas make for an enjoyable time.

Inside Knowledge: Happy hour at the White Rabbit NYC goes until 9 pm, a rarity in New York city, so take full advantage and go in early.

Do's and Don'ts:

Do Bring a Group: The White Rabbit Lounge is great for group events, with a spacious dance floor, lounge area and attentive bartenders. Whether its a birthday party, after-work get-together, or just a night out, don't be afraid to bring a crowd to White Rabbit NYC.

Do Order a Specialty Cocktail: The White Rabbit NYC has some of the more creative cocktails on the Lower East Side, with Asian-fusion inspired drinks like the lychee apple martini or the raspberry gimlet.

Don't Expect to Dance: While there is an occasional guest DJ, the dance floor at the White Rabbit Lounge is pretty bare for the most part. This isn't to say you can't have a dance party, you just might have to start it yourself.

Don't Order Wine: While the White Rabbit NYC has some great cocktails, the wine list isn't the greatest, especially for a New York City bar. If you're a wine connoisseur, the White Rabbit Lounge may not be the place to order a drink.
